ABOUT

Buhaj Designs derives from my real name, Alexander Buhaj. I'm a 23 years old graphic designer from Gothenburg, Sweden with 7 years of professional experience designing merchandise, album artwork, and logos for the music & entertainment industries. 

Growing up with autism, there are many downsides of my diagnosis. One of them being that I'm unable to maintain focus on things that I have no interest in. I mean, I used to draw shitty fan-made art of Slipknot instead of focusing on my math classes, which, by the way, I don't recommend anyone to do. But, autism has given me a superpower too — tunnel vision for my special interests. I'm naturally hyper-focused on art, illustration & design.

When I was 15 years old, I joined my first metal band. That was my introduction to the creative world around the music itself. The album covers, band logos, tour posters, and of course, the merchandise. I downloaded Adobe Photoshop® and probably designed the worst logo in history. After that, I only used the software once in a few months when I was bored.

One year later, I started taking it more seriously. I practiced every day, and the more I learned, I realized that graphic design was my calling, and it's what I want to do for the rest of my life. And eventually, I was being contacted by major record labels and developed long-term relationships with international clients.
